I have an apartment for rent. It is in the basement of my home. It is a daylight basement so it isn’t like a dungeon, it has four large picture windows, two in the living room, two in the bedroom that look out over a big back yard that is surrounded by lovely trees. Through the trees is a nice view of the Cascades. The kitchen is nothing to write home about but the living room and bedroom are pretty good size. The bathroom has a shower/bath, medium sized.
I lived in this apartment for a while myself and subleased from the folks who rented the whole place. They moved out after 8 months and I took it over. This apartment has a separate entrance, we only share the laundry room. In the summer it is like an icebox down there. You will like it when it is blazing hot out, if it ever gets like that this year. *sigh* I went down there yesterday and almost needed a sweater. No kidding… It was chilly down there when it was uncomfortably warm upstairs.
This neighborhood is a real gem if you haven’t been here. I call it the “Emerald Forest” because it is hilly and wooded. Most folks that visited here for chicken stuff didn’t realize this neighborhood existed. It really is a special part of the city. This home is surrounded by trees save for the lot that was cleared next door. Other than looking at it from that side you can’t see the house unless you are looking down the driveway. Plenty of parking available on the lot as well. The lot is huge. Zillow.com lists it as being a 28,000 s/f lot which is just over a half acre.
It has a huge yard front and back. There is plenty of room for some garden beds, goat shed etc. I have chickens, as I’m sure you know, and would welcome more if you desire. If you are interested in goat-keeping I would entertain the idea of building a place for them on the lot. Needless to say you can get your urban farming fix here if that is what you fancy. Did I mention all the fresh free-range eggs you can eat?
This is a single occupancy unit as it only has one bedroom. I would consider a couple if someone is interested but would have to charge more to cover the extra water/elec usage costs.
Rent is $800/mo. You get basic cable and free Wi-Fi. W/S/G and electricity is paid by me. What you pay for rent covers everything. Should a couple show interest in this unit I would charge $975/mo.
Address is 13714 3rd Ave NE Seattle 98125 if you want to look up an aerial view online. Plenty of shopping on Aurora Ave and 5 minute drive to North Seattle CC and Northgate Mall.
Call 206-504-8865 and ask for me, Eric, if interested or have any questions. Thanks…

Greetings everyone,
I finally got around to posting some new upcoming hatches through June. These hatches include a batch of Bantams due on May 21st. I have cut down the number of chicks I’m ordering because we are later into the season so if you want a specific breed on a specific date it is best to pre-order them.
Thanks,
Eric

The 4/11 shipment has arrived. The hatchery called me on Wednesday and said they were shorthanded so the Welsummer hatchlings were not going to be sexed. They offered me straight run instead, which I declined. So, we have no Welsummers except for the 3/7 hatch which we still have plenty of.
